Scagliola

78 St. James's Street, London.

Work completed in 2002.

Historically, architecturally and decoratively a very significant Grade I listed building built in 1840s by architects John Basevi and Sydney Smirke as the residence for the Conservative Club.  This largely neglected building having sustained World War 2 bomb damage was recently acquired by HSBC bank and extensively restored to become its private banking headquarters. “...of Palladian design... it is both grand and monumental...”
